Is there a way to report inaccurate listings on Amazon?
« on: May 26, 2008, 10:35:58 PM »
I keep seeing sellers listing items on Amazon as new, then put things in the notes like "used but in like new condition" and it drives me nuts that they are competing on price with sellers of new items instead of being with used like they should be. Is there any way to report these for removal, or are the sellers just an A-Z claim waiting to happen?

I think you can report it at the bottom of the page.  Eventually Amazon does something about it.  Amazon is very precise as to what constitutes new, like new, etc.

The really bad thing about Amazon is that especially with one click ordering, it's possible to order without ever seeing any explanation written by the seller.  We got our first neg from a woman whose complaint was almost verbatim what we had written in the comments.

Funny you should mention this now. I had not listed anything on the River in AWHILE. I just listed two pieces of DDR RAM on Amazon last night. Although they ARE new (I screwed up and got the wrong stuff from Dell  :-[), the packages have been opened/seal broken. I tried to install them, and then discovered my mistake. I listed them as "Used - Like New". I explained in Comments what the deal was. Didn't want to screw up.
