2 dead after Amazon building collapses at warehouse facility in Baltimore

We experienced severe storms and a TORNADO alert in my area Friday.
A TORNADO. IN Florida.

There was some horrible weather out on that day.

Sending deepest sympathies to those that lost a loved one.

Wow!  Sounds like they got hit with same sort of weather phenomenon (an intense downdraft known as a microburst) that did this to a ferris wheel awhile back (12 yrs ago) in Tulsa   :-(   Thankfully nobody was on the ride at the time

link to news article that discusses the phenomenon back when it happened: http://www.nbcnews.com/id/13187936/ns/weather/t/hurricane-force-storm-hits-tulsa/#.W_nwaTHatdg

Crazy!

Amazon decided to send two boxes of my last two shipments to CA. (the others went to NC, NJ, WI and TX)

I stopped what I was doing and asked if the shipment was going to an area that might have been ravaged by the fires.
Employees to check them in.
Routes the trucks might need to get the shipments to the warehouse.

Guaranteed that my shipments would be safe.

First shipment took a lonnnnnnnng time to get to the warehouse area once it was in the state.
Still sitting there waiting to be received.

Have no idea about the second shipment but it is following suit of the other.

Think twice before sending your shipments to areas that have had disasters.
