Been going on for ages and definitely as the news stated not just one venue. 
At least that's my thoughts.
Snake oil salesmen but instead of horse and buggy from town to town, it's via the wires of the internet.
For those of us who remember the beginnings of ebay, it was fun and I sold everything I put up for sale and for more than I would've dreamed.
Didn't take but a few years for the scammers to come in.
Every single venue I've sold on has had this problem...
Good info they reported on how a buyer can steer clear of bogus items.
