Amazon and start-up Xealth are planning a pilot where doctors would 'prescribe' products to be delivered after patients leave the hospital

Amazon, Providence and Xealth are working together on a pilot which could launch in months, according to two people familiar. <-----

The idea is to "prescribe" medical products and services to patients before they're discharged. The products would be fulfilled by Amazon or another e-commerce company, and Prime members could get discounts.

That helps Amazon court a new demographic: Those with complex medical conditions, new mothers, and people recovering from common procedures and surgeries.

Amazon has been wanting to get into the healthcare market for awhile now. Makes sense since Amazon wants to be everything to everyone. I wonder how long this has been in the works.

Financial Advisor meeting last year he and I discussed the pharmaceutical deal along with how this would enable Bezos wish to partner with J. P. Morgan and Buffet for a new healthcare insurance provider.
Laying the groundwork so to speak.
First offering to employees, then to 3rd party sellers, then the public.
We discussed alot more than the above and.....

Fast forward this year.
Financial Advisor meeting to discuss yada yada yada and began to discuss how much of we talked about came true in the last year.
Let's just say what he and I discussed was 98% correct.
Whole Foods, Toys R Us, acquiring pharmaceutical companies, etc etc

In his sector, he said this acquisition is another layer moving forward.
He and my accountant don't even charge me an hourly fee to discuss Amazon (and ebay, brick and mortar vs ecommerce) with me.
Hubster sits there and enjoys listening to us throw out numbers, names, articles, etc to one another.
Not that I'm any kinda soothsayer, but I've just been doing this so very lonnnnnng.
My views as a seller, what I've been approved for, what I've come across, what new laws are on the books and how it affects we ecommerce/brick and mortar sellers.

We have predictions for next year...healthcare will be interesting to see how this moves forward.
The pill pack purchase alone for FL and nursing homes/assisted livings/independent living for seniors.
Big Business!

Offering to third-party sellers? We're disposable scum of the earth whose only mission is to enrich Bezos. At least that's how Amazon acts. I doubt third-party sellers will able to benefit from the health insurance unless we bought it outright on our own. I doubt we'd get any kind of break after xx years of service.

I think it would best in their best interest to offer to 3P sellers.
I like to think that it's coming.
As do those that advise me financially.
Remember it's not only Bezos but JP Morgan and Buffet.
Neither of those partners are slouches.
