'The stores will, in turn, split the profits of each purchase with Google. This payment will be separate from the fee retailers pay to place ads on Google platforms.'

That additional fee looked like it was for sponsored ads.

What I like is that Google will allow me to purchase from Walmart, Target or any other store through them. Something Amazon will not do. Pretty smart of Google to do that.
