Bonanza Adding Google Ads

Bonanza Adding Google Ads

With Graphic: Bonanza is adding advertisements to sellers' listings in order to raise funds so it can advertise the Bonanza marketplace - something it called, "Advertising for Advertising." Bonanza said its sellers have told it that it needs to raise its brand profile through more advertising, and said the challenge to executing a high-scale advertising campaign has always been the high cost.

Very interesting. As a freebie member, that means I will definitely be hit with the ads. It sounds like the ads won't be for the same items for sale, though. I only have a handful of older ebooks my booth right now, and frankly the booth was on vacation - I really hadn't done much of anything with it in awhile. Is this booth worth keeping? I know Sandy was into Bonanza awhile back - is anyone here big in it now?

I had a booth there, but it's been ages.
You have to really, REALLY work hard to bring in the sales there...SEO, posting, etc.
I wasn't into working that hard for a Bonanzle booth at the time.
I haven't heard any different.

Thanks for the confirmation of what I was thinking... I went ahead and canceled the booth. That having to work on SEO to bring your own traffic was one of the issues I have had with ecrater... Although, I have heard ecrater is better about that these days.

I have a "presence" on Bonanza now. Put my booth on vacation almost a year ago now due to lack of exposure and constant changes in their format, and then there are the glitches. Not worth my time.

A lot of peeps, including moi, had high hopes when they started but the owners are not business or computer savy.... not a good combination.

Same here. Last sale I made was the ONLY sale I've made from Bonanza, and it was the biggest pain ever! I've lost track of the number of calls back and forth to the customer because the sale wouldn't go through. Hoss and Little Joe got some 'splainin' to do to Pa, if you ask me.
<----- Slow ride. Take it easy.

Hmm I have a booth as well, I only have a few items and have toyed with closing it many times, I think today will be the day I do.

We have several different booths there

I figure it this way
It don't cost me nothing

I certainly have more sales there than on addoway, lol

But yes the site was a huge disappointment
sock monkeys at www.OurSockMonkey.com and of course everything at www.FilthyRichFashions.com

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift. That is why we call it the present!

Hi Donna

Your right BT, it is free and even tho I only have a sale once in a while I always looked at it as another presence on the net, I still haven't closed the booth yet, still deciding. The funny thing to me is I have Bonanza, Blujay, ecrater, and as soon as I think it's time to downsize because of lack of activity, a sale comes in, so I think well maybe I better wait, and then I think about it again, its free so leave them up.

Donna,
Are your ads, titles, descriptions (wording) the same across the board for all the sites?

No I change them up  a little, if I remember correctly it was always better to change them around for google search.

Yep.
Glad you have them all listed differently, didn't want your items to get the "google boot"

I had a store on Bonanza 3 yrs ago and received few orders but closed it because I was too busy for that, but I recently opened back up again. It had been 3 weeks with not even one order. I opened store on Opensky at the same time and received 4 orders. Not worth that much but better than Bonanza in my case. :)

I hadn't heard of Opensky so I did some looking around.
One thing I liked is: One the home page it states this is a trusted Google site.
Which is good for SEO...hmmmmm

It reminds me of Storenvy...which I like, but haven't had time to work with.
