Sounds like a dare to me.  :poke BRB  :smarty Challenge accepted.

Have more work to do (obvously!) but it's up! I had the WP site already set up with another shopping cart, I deactivated that one and installed a new theme template and the e-commerce plugin in this video.

Well I have to be the idiot of the world....I downloaded the plugin and can't get it to come up on my dash like it shows in the video, no chance to do anything with it...I got so frustrated last night I couldn't stand it and walked away.  The image in my mind of a woman wiping her keyboard, mouse, monitor, paperclips, etc. off her desk in one foul swoop just got to be too much for me and I had to walk away   ROTFLMAO

Might have to get Suze to do a step by step for WP idiots like me  LOL    :smarty

Been there and Done that far more than you can imagine.

I'm hoping I can try this out this coming week.
What browser were you using?
(So I can avoid using that browser)

Thanks, all!  :-[ I still have more to do - setting up this and that - I want to get it all ready before adding products.

I had the WP blog installed already. I had been toying with a different WP e-commerce plugin that I didn't really care for. I deactivated it and installed this one. I'm using Chrome, BTW.

TBFSM, did you activate the plugin after installing it? My store settings are in Settings and Store is at the bottom.

I downloaded the plugin and that's as far as I got...it's on my desktop, a bunch of files and folders and images and blah blah blah...

Watched the video and where I should be able to activate it and then upload it...I don't have the options on the left on my dashboard like they show...none, nada nothing  LOL

Soooo I'm wondering if my blog needs to be a subdomain or something...I must not have something that I need to be able to do this.  Then like a numchuck I went and signed up with the .org side to see if that was the problem and over there I just have forums, topics and replies on that dashboard....chrome, ff, ie.  Tried them all, back and forth, windows open everywhere.  Close everything down, started over and the frustration level grew and grew and grew and my small dog sitting by my desk whining and wanting to sit in my lap and "hep" put me over the top.  Took him out and came back and then I wanted to wipe the top of my desk off.

I was tired, frustrated and no matter what I did, I never got to where I needed to be.  5 minutes my arse, it took me less time than that to realize I was probably in over my head  LOL

Might try it again tonight, but I'm not feeling real good.  Think my allergies are kicking my whiney hiney cause I mowed grass today and got overheated and then worked the shop and stayed overheated and now I'm just not feeling good  LOL  Whaaaaaa

I might mess with it for a little while, searching for answers online and through the help area and the forums and topics did little to assist me last night and I even whittled into my Pinterest time    :'(

Hmmm... I went through my WP blog to add a plugin, then searched for it by name and installed it directly. Then you activate it. I didn't DL it to install later. Maybe that would help?  :017

Suze I get no option for plugins like it shows in the video.  Widgets, yes, themes, yes, plugins or anything related to plugins, no.

Did you upgrade to pro or anything like that other than the free WP blog?  Your own doman other than like mine http://passion4mopars.wordpress.com/

No pop ups not blocked.  That screenshot was using FF, maybe I'll try chrome again but there has to be something simple....I just don't know what it would be and can't seem to find an answer through the help button  LOL

I have too many wiper motors to build today to mess with it until late tonight when I finally quit in the shop, so I'll try again later

The person who made the video hosts with host gator? (at least I think he hawks host gator)
Right?
Is that what we should have is our own hosting as versus using word press?

I did not think of that.  :m218 Yea, my site is on my own web space, not on Wordpress's. It does make a difference. That's why I don't have it on their space. You have so many more options this way. And themes. The WP part is free - if you purchase web space, that would be your only costs, unless you buy fancy addon plugins or something (not me lol).

It wasn't hard to set up on my own space. I don't know anything about Hostgator. I use fastwebhost.com, but there are lots of reliable web hosts if you don't have one.
