Up until recently, if you went to http://www.flock.com (read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flock_%28web_browser%29 for the story) you could download a browser called flock.

If you want to use it, I guess you can DL it at http://flock.en.softonic.com/

I browsed the related link about the history of browsers. One browser I didn't see listed was Encompass. It came on my first computer and worked better than the then available version of I. E. It had a weird interface that framed the screen to look like a 60s era TV screen. Loaded images much faster than I. E. (they're still one of the slowest on loading images) and came with a free trial account for GTE internet (that's how long ago it was, GTE internet is now called Verizon). Someone (see above) downloaded Netscape for my primary account, which cost for 56k dialup as I currently pay for DSL. I used Netscape as my primary browser until the Netscape 6 debacle and my homepage would no longer support Netscape 4.3.
<----- Slow ride. Take it easy.
