All communication now goes via Amazon since the spring...but what Amazon just updated in Customer Metrics is....
*Buyer-Seller Contact Response Time with your statistics/percentages
Average response time
Messages without a response
Response times under 24 hours
Response times over 24 hours

Please note that on contact message there is now a spot that states:
Response not required (i.e., your customer responds with the word: Thanks!) so the unanswered message doesn't appear that your ignoring your customer.
Be sure to note response not required or you could get dinged for not responding.

In case someone else doesn't immediately see where to mark a message "response not required"....go into customer metrics...click on messages not yet responded to...click on the individual message...mark response not required...submit.

Lots of steps during a busy season!

Will response-time metrics be used in seller performance evaluations?
Response-time metrics are not normally reviewed during seller performance evaluations, but we may review these metrics if a seller account shows extremely poor performance in other areas. Note, however, that customers who do not receive timely responses are more likely to leave negative feedback or file claims, and those do impact your performance metrics directly. Therefore it is important to review these response-time metrics regularly.
