No more ShipSurance for me!
« on: September 14, 2010, 12:05:08 AM »

I have bought houses with less paperwork than Shipsurance requires to make a claim for a few bucks!
International buyer did not receive item so I filled out the longish claim form on Inkfrog...
Only to get an email back from Shipsurance requiring 4 more pages of documentation and a page of info that the buyer needs to fill out..all to be mailed or faxed back before the claim would be addressed.
Now why would a buyer want to fill out paperwork and fax it back when all they need to do is file a "short" Paypal claim and get their money back immediately?

I would rather put my  money in a jar with "hope" than give Shipsurance any business again.

I haven't forgotten that Greg touted, "eliminates claims hassle, and offers complete peace.."
when promoting the so called, Inkfrog insurance.

It's cheaper than USPS insurance, and that's about all.

4 claims, zero problems. All domestic though,  the paperwork burden was not that much, imo.

I had a claim with a buyer in South Africa.  Instead of the form to fax/mail to the buyer they just had me get him to email me that he never received the item and then forward the email to them.  Yes there were several pieces of paper to mail them, but it was fast and they paid in full quickly.  I don't insure a lot, but when I do, it is with Shipsurance
