Seller Feeds on Amazon
« on: December 17, 2008, 08:26:26 PM »
Does anyone know where to find a feed that only shows a specific seller's items?

I've been looking off and on for months and can't find one.  :s0147 I'm getting whiney now.

Sure.   Webstore by Amazon.  :nana

Seriously, I don't know of any way to do this.

Some things at Amazon are very easy to do.   Others, IMO by design, are not.

Now, I coud say selling there, but I won't.  Ya coulda knocked me over with a feather this morning when I got my first sale ever from one of my two listings.  Everything Else, loose gemstones which I am sure is against the rules.

Found that before there's no way to grab one seller though.   ???

Ya know, I was just starting to think that they don't have it on purpose, but for the life of me I cant figure out why. Makes no sense.  :017

Guess I'll start looking at the API.  :?

I haven't made $99 in 2 years promoting Amazon, they want $99/month.  :-(

I made more promoting eBay yesterday, than in 2 years promoting Amazon.

That would explain the lack of feed though, they want that monthly fee. I guess they get nothing instead. :P

Maybe a dumb question, but...
Do you want a feed just for your items or an affiliate feed for other individual sellers on Amazon to use on your promotional site?

This one >> affiliate feed for other individual sellers

But I'd settle for a plain seller feed, then go from there. I can't find anything at all.

I'd like to be able to create Amazon galleries for my users.

By the way, your eBay gallery and listing is done.

Looks great, thanks!

Just signed up to be an amazon associate.  Isn't it the aStore thingie chick's talking about??  Perhaps it has feeds?  What I signed up for is free.

Sadly, while pretty flexible, aStore doesn't allow for a specific seller either.

I'm on a mission now.  :h0035

You're welcome. Looks like you just looked at the directory though, did you see the gallery?

It does if you're the seller.  Try an aStore widget.  Or get the person who's store you're trying to feature to give you the code(?).

Don't know if this helps, but you CAN select individual products for your aStore then make the feeds or widgets mentioned above.

Not unless I'm missing something. The aStore widget allows you to build a widget for your aStore. aStores cannot be populated by seller at all that I see.

That would require me to stay on top of a seller's products all the time which wouldn't be feasible. I need a Ron Popeil solution. Set it and forget it.  :h0035

One of the options you get when you populate the astore is selecting your products individually so it is possible to pick the precise products you want to feature in your store and therefore widget (Category pages>click your added category> Add individual products). I'm assuming that Amazon search includes all sorts of products from several merchants, but I'm not sure just what is available.  But then that leads to the problem you cite next...

This is avoided by populating your astore from an amazon Category.  Then it just picks for you.  This eliminates having to keep up with the inventory, but kinda messes up that whole "pick your seller" thing.

Seems to be an either/or situation.  Sorry I'm not more help.  I just started this astore business last week.

US Flag Store

Fashion Pet

Just an example, obviously not a solution.  The Mall of Malls is one of their demo sites pulling a feed from other sellers that are listed by brand.
