Ummm who's going to have black bean burgers, or maybe a veggie warp.  How about a Greek veggie pita with feta :?

Okay so I'm hungry :-[

If you'd quit eating warped veggies, you wouldn't BE hungry.  Pass the dead cow.

Is there somewhere close where you can buy food, instead of stuff eaten by food?

I'm kidding, of course, I actually made some real good manwiches with genuine for real fake Morningstar hamburger crumbles.

I still prefer a medium rare, fork tender 3" filet, thanx.

Trivia:  the standard for the cowboy or gaucho cut steak is 1.5".  They didn't bring a ruler, but the easy way to tell was cut into the steak and drop a silver dollar in the slot  The steak had better be the diameter of the dollar thick.

More trivia.  That only sounds unsanitary.  Silver is a natural bacteria killer.

So who's near Akron?

Anyone wanna join me?

I'm gonna sleep on it and make it official.  It's been . . . ahem . . . I think almost two years since I did my last 'thon.

Why Akron?     The marathon has good reviews, free beer and free shoes, and I've never done an Ohio 'thon.    :h0161

Yes, I'm reasonably close to Akron, no I don't want to join you unless you want someone to drive parallel to the route to give you moral support.

Akron's a nice place. Close to some wonderful Amish restaurants where you can have your victory dinner.

Country folk could tell you about a different type of "dirty rice," it's sort of an immitation rice pudding made with flour paste that is dry enough to crumble into fake rice grains and served with warm custard. I remember my aunt telling me about making it for her long deceased first husband when he was on his death bed. No, it wasn't what killed him, it was what he craved because his mother always made it for him when he was sick.

I tend to eat lighter pre-race . . . and like a mad woman after.    :h0161

I still haven't committed - I'll keep y'all posted.

I did get my bike out of storage and took it to the bike shop for a tune up.   :h0161

Well let's see if I got this right

WoW has cereal dogs that he is falsely representing as brats, some kinds kurs beer, and 'ritas(whoever she is).

Vintage and SJ have Gelato, Latte's, high end chocolates + some kind of dead lamb stuff wrapped in grape leaves and probably some Ouzo.

WAHM is peddling some kind of icky rice that fell on the floor, and got stepped on by an Amish horse after she entered a beer drinking marathon, and well............

and Fredd is selling parts of cows that died of silver poisoning after licking up WAHMs rice off the floor.

Think I'll take a pass on this "race food" :o :o  and head over to Lannings.

Actually, Lannings sounds really nice.   Steak, salad, baked potato and cold beer are a favorite post race menu.  :h0161
