I get the error:

There is a problem with this website's security certificate.

when I try to log in at the iconbuffet website.

My virus/antiphishing/firewall suite won't let me go to the website because of it.

Anyone know when they will update their security certificate?

I'm a member there too  :up

Can't you choose to ignore the certificate? There are lots of legitimate sites with expired certificates and I just click the ignore button when I'm notified. Maybe you can change a setting in your software to give you that option?

Yes, I can change my options within the sercuity suite and choose to ignore the certificate, but I was wondering if they were going to update it or not?

If they are going to update the certificate, then I'll just wait until they do so, but if they aren't, then I wonder how long the site will be there?  The last time I used a site that didn't update their certificate, the site shortly closed.  That's why I asked how long it will be there.

iconbuffet has been around for a fair while. I'm a member and I get the same certificate warning when logging in. I haven't been there in a while, so I'm not sure how long it's been expired, but I'm guessing it's an end of year thing that just ran out and they will have it rectified shortly.

This is the message IE is displaying to me and it is not for an expired certificate:

Quote
The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority.

Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server.

This is the closet match from the 5 types of certificate errors from windows help:

Quote
This website’s security certificate is not from a trusted source
This error occurs when the certificate has been issued by a certification authority that is not recognized by Internet Explorer. It is unlikely that this error will occur on a legitimate business or banking site. Phishing sites often attempt to use fake certificates that will trigger this error.
