Donna, not our Kim,  she lives in KS, and I live in OH! It was another Kim that I know offline.

Our Kim's mom had a bit of a hard time, since she had some allergic reaction to the meds, and they were not sure if it was the pain meds or the antibiotic that they gave her by IV.  She did come through the procedure just fine though, and finally got to go home on Sunday morning.  Kim is busy with family from out of town and very busy at her job, so at least she doesn't have to worry too much about her mother for right now. Will you let her know that I asked. I don't want to interrupt her during the week.

I know she's in KS and you in OH...but ya'll had met b4, I had hoped she was able to come visit. I assumed (and you know what they say about assuming) her mothers hospital stay went well and she flew to go with you.

Yesterday I did 30 minutes  :move  plus swam for a few hours.  Didn't do anything today :h0162

That is great, Danielle! I've been following WW for a week, and have lost 2 lbs. (I was hoping it would be LOTS more, but I know that it has to be slow or it won't stay off.) Today I did a mile on my treadmill at home this morning, and then at about 3:00 I went to the health club and did 10.4 miles in 39 minutes on the recumbent bike.

Donna, Kim and I have become very good friends, but believe it or not, we have never actually met. She was coming to visit me last year, and the week before the scheduled trip, she had the recurrence of her breast cancer, so that trip never happened.
Now, she got a full time job, and her husband, Steve travels out of state for his work and is only home about 1 night a week, so her 2 children and full time job have not allowed us to get together in person yet.

(It doesn't really matter to us though, I think we are soul sisters, we are so much alike, have the same tastes values and interests, and really get along so well that meeting in person would just be a bonus, but not necessary.) Deborah

You both are special ladies Deborah!

Isn't it wonderful you two met?

I could've sworn B4 I left SD that ya'll had met. It was around the time you were starting to work on the catalogs. Or was it near the time of the watch? Geeesh...It's my old brain cells.

Yes, when I began writing auction catalogs was when she was planning to come to attend the very first fully catalogued auction that I had done. I was really looking forward to seeing her in person, but we exchange photos, emails and phone calls so often that we feel like we know a lot. Her cutie pie daughter even sends me artwork for my refrigerator and she made me the cutest picture of a woman lying in a hospital bed with a leg in traction when I had my surgery. It was adorable. (She somehow assumed that I had a broken knee and would be in traction). Deborah

Thank goodness my brain cells were working. I wonder if it's around the time I left SD and the saga was "hanging" and ya'll didn't meet but I assumed you did.

Who knows? I'm just glad you both have such a special friendship.

How bout a scan of the hospital bed with your leg in traction?

SHHH, don't tell Sarah but it got ruined! During the remodel of the kitchen , the refrigerator was relocated to  our dining room, and it somehow ended up in the construction debris! I haven't had the heart to tell her! Deborah

:053 :053 It's HOT here today! It is 92 and humidity is almost equal to that! ( :( I HATE hot and humid weather, BTW!) Thank God for central airconditioning!

Has anyone else gotten their exercise today?

Because of my physical therapy (PT), I just about have to do mine, so this morning I did 1.1 mile on my treadmill in 27 minutes and then I went to PT and did my usual routine of theraputic exercises for the bionic knees. I have only one more regular PT appt scheduled, and that will be on this Thursday. After that, I go to only once a month so that they can make sure that I am still progressing on my own. I will begin going to the health club ~ 4-5 days a week beginning next week. I am still following the WW eating plan, and it is working fine for me so far.

How is everyone else doing this week?

Deborah

Uhhh - kids had a filed trip today - Day with the Chef at one of the Country Clubs and uhh the Mom's had to eat the creations ya know.

Homemade pizza and chocolate mouse.  The mouse was heavy and rich as the kids over folded and it wasn't light and fluffy.  They were large servings and I couldn't eat much of it.  The pizza was very good.

I'll have to work extra hard tomorrow to burn it off.   Points?  I don't even wanna know :0195

I'll have to say it was the most expensive pizza I ever ate but I'm trying to remind myself that $20 a kid for cooking with a culinary chef who graduated from the institue was worth the price even if we didn't get to eat it.

Geez, BF, That is not what I would call healthy eating ! :-X It would put me way over on the sodium, fat and calories for the day!
We just had baked salmon steak, (along with my own homemade lowfat tarter sauce), fresh steamed brussel sprouts and steamed sweet corn. It was yummy! Deborah

mmmmmmmm!! My kinda meal, Deborah!

I made beef stew in the new(est) crockpot. Did I happen to mention that I put the base to the old (new) one in the oven for storage and forgot?  :o Crockpot handles and control panel will pool on the bottom of the oven at 450 degrees. I said to myself as I put it in there..."this is a bad idea." Sure enough, it was.

I walked to and from my car several times in the heat today and did some walking aroudn in stores as part of my job. that was about all i could handle in the heat.

I did make plans to walk with some other moms on Thursday and we're making plans for Monday too. I'm probably going to try some air-conditioned walking in stores, with baby, tomorrow. we need groceries...wee!

I have a cheap (read: questionably accurate) pedometer somewhere. I might wear it tomorrow just to see how many miles i walk getting groceries and doing other shopping.

Isn't the recent heat here horrible! 90+ with 90+% humidity, YUCK!!  :053
Keep up the great work, :0191 I am sure that you have been walking lots more now compared to prebaby  :>/prejob!
I have been thinking about buying one too! I actually went out to Amazon and checked on the one that our friend had been using on Saturday, and it is quite reasonable, in my opinion!
