Read the article fully: Mashable HOW TO: Find Out What Those Odd Twitter Trends Are About

When you open Twitter search, you’ll see a bunch of trends that people on Twitter() are currently talking about. Sometimes they’re self explanatory; but sometimes it’s hard to fathom what these micromemes are about, even after browsing through dozens of tweets.

I receive Mashable updates via Twitter

For those of us attempting to learn a little about this stuff this link will take you directly to the topic posted

HOW TO: Find Out What Those Odd Twitter Trends Are About
http://mashable.com/2009/04/24/twitter-trends-2/

The link Suthrnjewl posted to me to a page of comments and took me time to figure out that I needed to click yet another link to get to where the topic was.
This Twitter, Tweeter, Twibing stuff really needs to come with better instructions!
I have yet to figure out the who, what, hows and whys
I'm just not and never have been, never will be a social bug.  Not in real life nor online.
I guess I enjoy not having "followers" as I am not a god!

Nope, no social bug here either BTPS. As a matter of fact the older I get the more of a recluse I become.

If anyone did happen to become interested in what I'm doing I'd feel like I had a stalker.  :h0035

When I was active on Twitter I also joined Twitter Moms which is a Ning group.  They have regular twitter chats using the hashtag - there are biz chats supporting a featured website.  There are blogs that sponsor these chats as well - you can gain alot of exposure but I found most of it to be VERY time consuming!

oh LOL -- I know why
because I so don't understand this Twit stuff - that when I posted I was referring the SECOND link you posted - I receive Mashable updates via Twitter
not the first one ..
Since it was about being a Twit I thought it would be the link that was to www.twit not the link to mashable.com

See how this stuff makes no sense to me.
One would think a Twit article would be on twit not on a totally different site.
I give up
