* Great Deals / Free Magazines Subscriptions
« on: February 10, 2007, 05:15:10 AM »
Please do not post trial offers and free single issues. This thread is for free subscriptions only.

TIP:  Locate a phone number that always rings busy to give to them.  Otherwise, at the end of your subscription they will call you to try to get you to renew your subsciption.  Course, they always hang up on me when I tell them that my subscription was complimentary (sometimes they dont understand that word, sometimes you have to say "free").

Also, use email address you use for places you know will spam ya.  Cause you'll get spam as a result, even if you opt out of their spam in the site.

Many of these sites typically offer other mags as well, based upon on what you select regarding industry, etc, in the drop down boxes. For example, choosing jewelry retailer at mercurymagazines you get to get free subscription to Modern Jeweler.

* Great Deals / free plastic puzzle
« on: February 04, 2007, 11:48:51 PM »
a company called ProtoMold is trying to get new customers for the custom plastic molding and as a promo is giving away some cube puzzles.

(note: if you get an access denied error msg, copy and past it into the address bar.)

might also be a handy source for getting stuff made to sell (if can come up with the next great idea, that is).

Make note of the info in your account profile (name, address, primary email address, secondary email address, last 4 digits of credit card used, and all other info there)

Go to

Go to their add domain name to account page and put in domain name and registrar key that MS sent you via email (this is the link they'll send you via email) and make sure that the domain is now unlocked.

Go to your account and again Add Domain Name  This time use the key they gave you via email.

Go to and get your domain name password.

Go to godaddy and move the domain to your godaddy account, selecting "Change my transferring domain names to park nameservers" at checkout.

wait for email from godaddy with Transaction ID and Security Code for transfer.

Follow instructions in email.   When it asks for authorization code, give it the domain name password you got at MelbourneIT.

Wait and see if transfer is successful (will get email notification)

edited because I had to jump through some more hoops to get mine to do it.
