The myriad of questions that can be asked as seen by the image might save me time.
Right now, we have an Amazon dot in the living room only.
I might end up buying one for my office.

***I've chosen not to use this feature.
Sometimes I choose to ship out orders Priority as versus a slower shipping means.
Sometimes I choose to ship out orders with insurance.
I like being able to process orders with a personal touch and making sure my customer comes first... that ability is lessened with an automation process.

Technical Issues
Jan 3, 2018

Head's Up!
From Amazon Headlines:
We are currently experiencing an issue affecting Sellers' ability to view newly created or edited listings in the Manage Inventory section of the Seller Account. This is not impacting the availability of product details on the website. (01/03 07:00 PDT)

I have experienced this sporadically for the last 3 days.
We all know that means changes are coming.
U.S. FBA fee changes - effective February 22, 2018

As in previous years, FBA fees in the U.S. will be adjusted to reflect the changing costs of fulfillment, transportation, and customer service. The new fulfillment fees will take effect on February 22, 2018. We are notifying you now to give you time to plan for these changes.

FBA is introducing the following changes:

•   Fulfillment Fees: We will adjust our fulfillment fees for most product size tiers and weights. The adjusted fees will apply throughout the year, and we will no longer have a separate rate for October through December.
•   Dimensional Weight Calculation: We are adjusting the way we calculate dimensional weight to align with current industry standards. Currently, dimensional weight is calculated as the unit volume (based on length x width x height in inches) divided by 166. Effective February 22, 2018, we will calculate dimensional weight as the unit volume (based on length x width x height in inches) divided by 139 (instead of 166). The dimensional weight is only applicable for large standard-size items weighing more than 1 lb. and all small, medium, and large oversize items.

FBA inventory storage fees are not changing at this time.
We will announce changes to these fees in early 2018.

For complete details of the fee changes, visit

Letting the domain go
This forum initially started way back when we were all doing eBay and other auction sites.
It was a wonderful alternative to the Sparedollar forums and was private by invitation only.

I'm not paying to renew it.
Had thought of putting it up for sale on eBay (an auction site) as there are no takers on GoDaddy auctions.
Any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
Or if you want the domain, I'll give it to any of our longtime members.

Unless any of you would like to have the domain, I'm going to let it go.
I think I already have every domain forwarded over to this domain...but just in case.

Help / Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) / FBA business reports / Inventory Reports / Reserved Inventory

Inventory in reserved status may be tied to a customer order, in the process of being shipped between fulfillment centers, or sidelined at a fulfillment center for additional processing. The Reserved Inventory Report provides real-time data about the number of reserved units in your inventory. Units can be in reserved status for the following reasons:

Customer Order – These units are being used to fulfill customer orders.
FC Transfer – These units are being transferred from one fulfillment center to another to place the inventory closer to customers. Units in FC Transfer status are available for customers to buy. Customers may be shown a future ship date if no other units are available for immediate fulfillment. Transfers typically take 1-5 days to complete, but in some case may take up to 30 days.
FC Processing – These units have been sidelined at the fulfillment center for additional processing, such as verification of item dimensions and weight or pending investigations.

Changes to Marketplace Tax Collections

Beginning on January 1, 2018, Amazon will calculate, collect, and remit sales tax on third-party seller sales shipped to Washington State.
Washington is the first state to enact legislation requiring online marketplaces, like Amazon, to collect sales tax on behalf of their third-party sellers.
We will automatically take these actions for your Washington orders; you don’t need to update your tax collection settings or account information.
* Amazon Central / Baltimore Amazon Warehouse

I've had 2 boxes of inventory shipped to Baltimore Amazon Warehouse.
They have been delivered.
This is both verified on my Seller Dashboard, UPS, the warehouse and via Seller Support.

Oh, did I mention that December 1st and they have been sitting on Amazon's Baltimore Dock since the 1st of December?

I'm not alone.

Thread: Baltimore Warehouse

I've been advised to wait to file reconciliation until the 16th.
And we all know that often doesn't go as planned.

From the thread I learned something new.
Anyone know if you incur storage fees for packages that were delivered but not checked in?
Yes, you start paying for storage as soon as the box is marked delivered, I believe.

I don't know but I'm asking Seller Support.

This happened to me last year and I fought it tooth and nail.
Shipment found in January and all my holiday seasonal items were placed into my inventory....way too late.

This doesn't bode well for me or my inventory.

I received an email from Amazon (yes I checked headers) yesterday that took me aback.
It stated my payment was on the way.
Payment drop amount was not the same as my seller dashboard.
Payment drop date was off.
Got with Amazon and they validated it was a legit payment drop.
I questioned it and received screenshots and a much more in depth explanation.

Amazon Services LLC (beta)
Business to Business sale by Amazon and is processed separately by Amazon.
The disbursement date may also be on a different date than your regular disbursement.
Amazon Services LLC makes the payments for transactions in which buyers agree to pay after the shipment of goods or completion of services."

I don't remember signing up for this or if I was given an opt out instead of a sign up.
I'm usually on top of these types of emails that are sign up for this service or opt out.

Amazon has a new return dropoff location, Kohls, and its free for customers even if they pick "no longer needed" as a return reason

From Reddit Amazon Fulfilled:
I ordered something I didn't like and picked the return option "no longer needed" which usually means I pay for the return shipping back. But this time when printing the label, it gave me an option to return the item for free instead of paying for shipping by dropping it off at KOHLS.
If the public gets educated about this option, maybe it will cut down on the fake returns that people claim as "defective" or "damaged" simply because they wanted a free return label.
Spread the word
