There have been so many devastating storms during the past week. We are grateful that we are not experiencing them here today, and praying for all of those who have been affected.
Only a few of the worst storms for today:

This was posted at tonight:

Sony: Hacker stole PlayStation users' personal info
(CNN) -- A hacker has obtained the personal information of PlayStation Network account holders and subscribers of the Qriocity streaming service, Sony said in a message to customers Tuesday.

Sony's investigations over the past week determined that an "unauthorized person" had obtained users' names, home addresses, e-mail addresses, birth dates and passwords, according to a statement being sent to all account holders.
The attack also has crippled Sony's PlayStation Network, which has some 70 million subscribers and has been down since April 20. The network lets customers download video games from the Web and play against each other online.

"While there is no evidence at this time that credit card data was taken, we cannot rule out the possibility," said Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Network Entertainment, which manage the two services, in a joint statement.

The hacker could have taken credit card numbers, card expiration dates, billing addresses, answers to security questions and purchase history, but not credit-card security codes, they said.

Sony is encouraging customers "to protect against possible identity theft or other financial loss" by reviewing credit-card statements. The company also suggested that some customers may want to place a "fraud alert" with credit bureaus.

Sony did not say how many accounts had been compromised. A spokeswoman declined to comment Tuesday.

Some subscribers reacted angrily to the news.

"You waited a WEEK to tell us our (personal) information was compromised?" one PlayStation user wrote on a Sony blog. "That should have been said last Thursday" -- the day when Sony first acknowledged the issue.

The intrusions occurred between April 17 and 19, according to the statement. On April 20, Sony switched off the PlayStation and Qriocity online services, which have remained in the dark.

Users and paid subscribers were also mostly in the dark until Tuesday about the reason for the lengthy outage or about when services would be reinstated.

Sony initially said its PS network would be be back online within one to two days.

On Tuesday, PlayStation spokesman Patrick Seybold wrote in a statement that it could take another week before they "expect to restore some services."

« on: December 17, 2010, 12:40:18 PM »
??? I know nothing at all about the Twilight movies, except that for many people they are very popular. I was just informed that Kyle, (our granddaughter Amanda's hubby), would like to have the first and third DVD's for Christmas. I have no idea which one is first, second or third, so I need some help with this please. Amanda did say that they don't want Blu-ray, they want the DVD fullscreen editions.
Thank you! Deborah

Special News Alert: Apple announces iPhone 4
Steve Jobs announced it today in his keynote address at Apple’s worldwide Developer Conference. The iPhone 4 is a significant improvement to the iPhone 3GS. The phone has a stunning, all-new design.

It features glass panels on both the front and back of the phone. A steel band connects the panels and functions as part of the antenna system. Apple claims that the iPhone 4 is the thinnest smart phone in the world. It is 24-percent thinner than the previous iPhone.

Other improvements include a display with four times the pixels of the previous iPhone. There’s a front-facing camera for video calling and an LED flash for the rear camera. The 5-megapixel camera uses a back-illuminated sensor for better low-light photos. It also records high-definition video; videos can even be edited directly on the iPhone!

Pricing: $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB; you’re eligible for AT&T’s upgrade pricing if your contract expires any time this year. The iPhone 8GB 3GS will sell for $99.

Availability: June 24th. Preorders start June 15th.
I used to love Steve McGarrett say that line, and now there is a new- 2010 version coming to TV in the fall.

(Sometimes old classics shouldn't be tampered with, and I am not sure at all that this new series is going to be able to live up to the original .)  :0195  :-X

It may, however be an interesting way to pass an hour.  :?
NFL owners voted Tuesday to put the 2014 Super Bowl in the new $1.6 billion Meadowlands Stadium that this season will become home to the New York Jets and Giants. It’s the first time the league has gone to a cold weather site that doesn’t have a dome and, until now, those places couldn’t even bid on the big game.
"Recently Google announced that they will rank websites higher that have quicker to load pages. Some may see this as a unilateral decision by the dominant force in the Internet."
