Title: Dealing with an Amazon complaint

I list this for the benefit of anyone who wishes to copy it for use with similar problems:

Your order was created June 5, 2007 3:17:02 PM PDT, which is after the post office closes in Ohio.  There are several additional hours before Amazon tells us about the order.  This means it couldn't possibly ship before the 6th.  You received it at 12:39 pm on the 8th, two days later.
 
You paid for standard shipping, which is 3-7 days according to Amazon.  Expedited shipping, which Amazon considers 1-3 days (in addition to shipping on the 7th), would have cost $1.60 more than your entire order, including shipping.  Even the post office only guarantees express mail will get there by 3 pm two days after shipping, which would only mean the 8th if you did pay for expedited shipping.
 
Something you need to be aware of is that you are not usually ordering "from Amazon", but often "from a seller who lists on Amazon".  If that seller is on the west cost or for example Texas, you could receive the item in two days under ideal conditions. [he's in AZ]  We've had customers get an item by 10 the next morning, if they happen to be located close and order early in the day.
 
I mention this for you to keep in mind for future reference.
