Title: eBay Store Levels and Selling Fees
Post by: Southern Jewel's Fab Finds on April 08, 2019, 11:46:38 AM
I decided to change my eBay account to a lowest level store level.
It has the vacation mode that I want/need.
It's only $4.95 a month as I agreed to a year.

As I'm slowing my Amazon down only 210+ sku's down from over 5000.
Woo Hoo!

I used to really, REALLY enjoyed finding items that I know will sell on eBay.
Vintage, Collectibles, Hard To Find items, etc.

Having a ball scouring thrift stores for items.
I do have lots of experiencefrom years on eBay plus an account that currently has over 35,000 positive feedback.
Now to list them.
<smile>

Whoops forgot to add the link to eBay Store Selling Fees

Are you planning on leaving the Amazon platform entirely in the next year or so? And good for you in building your ebay store.

I'll hang around a bit on Amazon...
Specifically October thru December.
After end of May this year, I hope <fingers crossed) to be on vacation from Amazon until October.
Maybe ship in one shipment a month off oddz and endz.
That's easy money.
Otherwise, I'm having a ball doing my previous collectibles, vintage, etc on eBay.

I'm also signed up to sell on Poshmark (https://poshmark.com/) and Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/)

Depending on item and where I feel it will sell the best... that's where my items are at.

Are your "vacation" plans working out for you?

Yep.
Totally working out.
Considering not coming back to Amazon full time until November.

Have very little in Amazon warehouses = Yep
I've sent in one fairly large shipment since April 2
Sent a bits and pieces shipment last Thursday. Oddz and Endz so to speak.

My storage metrics, excess storage and sell through rate are continually dropping.
Hell my warehouse stats dropped 200 points and is now hovering mid 400's but that's the cost of not sending in items.

eBay and Etsy are chugging along with hard to find items or items I sell in lots.

I'm in Set It and Forget It mode.

Good for you. Just don't "forget it" so much that your IPI drops and your storage gets limited for the 4th quarter. That would really suck if you plan to capitalize on Christmas but can't.

That's what I'm worried about.
Continuing to drop because I'm not shipping in inventory.
Hmmmmm...
No way around this but to continue to get a shipment to FBA.

Gotta pull some items out, too. Not many but enough to where it is affecting my IPI.
