Title: Ebay Promotions
Post by: uncleleroy on May 04, 2018, 03:15:25 PM
As an eBay newbie, I was hoping to get some help from some veterans. I would go to the forums over there but they seem kinda dead. Plus, it's not as easy to navigate (at least not for me, a  mere simpleton and peasant).

I am thinking about upgrading to a paid basic membership so I could list additional product to clear out. I would like to create a promotion that if customers buy 3 or more videos, they would be priced at 5.00 each instead of their regular listing price. I don't want to do that with all of my inventory, just certain skus. Is there a way to do that? If so, how? If not, is there something else I can do similar to what I was thinking?

I don't know, as I haven't been "into" eBay in years.
It's my bent and dent store.

I am heading back with a renewed sense of purpose.

If I don't revisit this in the next week, bump it to remind me.

I have some items I'm putting on Etsy, some on eBay, some on a website.

And would sincerely like to get into the promotions of eBay... again after years.

Well, I haven't started any promotions yet, but I did actually purchase a monthly store subscription and have been listing like crazy all of my free removals from FBA. Still haven't gotten to over half of it yet but some of it is already selling. Once I'm done listing stuff in the next week or two, maybe I'll have my own special "Prime Day" where I go crazy nuts and set up a promotion to all of my "fans" (ha... just liked the sound of actually speaking it).

Oh, and here's your bump...

I have been thinking of opening a 'store' again...
100+ inventory has always been my bottom line for laying out $40.00 a month to eBay for a store.
AND since I'm getting those 100 free (don't know if you've been offered that) listings...I've opted to stick with this for now.

That's not to say having a store is a bad idea...
Not in the least.
Here's a handy link for calculating fee's and store subscription levels.

What is great about having a store is the name, your eBay url, categories, buy it now, auctions, keywords, the ability to list in any category, cleaning out your home of so-called 'collectibles, selling 'lots' of items works out great.
Within the last months I've sold a new in bag McDonald's Happy Meal Toy from the mid 70's for a nice little profit, several homemade soy candles, Paul Revere Copper Kettle, Christmas Candy, Christmas decorations, Easter Candy and egg coloring kits, clothing, Mother's Day Bath and Beauty set and books.

I've been doing fairly well on eBay and with no listing fees and less in final value... why not?

I'm glad you're seeing some success on eBay.
Prime Day...crazy nuts...promotions...
My kinda sales!
