Title: AND Another: Neiman Marcus
Post by: Southern Jewel's Fab Finds on January 12, 2014, 01:52:51 PM
To Read Fully: Neiman Marcus Unauthorized Purchases (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-01-11/neiman-marcus-says-some-customer-credit-cards-may-be-compromised.html)

Neiman Marcus Group Ltd. said yesterday that some unauthorized purchases may have been made with customer cards, the second retailer after Target Corp. (TGT) to be struck by hackers during the important holiday season.

I agree with the comment:
I'm confused - Target has been raked over the coals for their security breach but I had to do a Google search to find the story about Nieman Marcus?
Luckily I have this type of article subscribed to in my Zite app (http://zite.com/)
If I weren't subscribed to certain key words, articles and more...this would've been missed by me.

Well, I can say without reservation that this particular breach will have zero effect on me.  :laugh

It was on Drudge and Breitbart yesterday.  I meant to post it but I've been without a stove for over a week and my landlady brought one yesterday and while we were hooking it up she took a little hit of 220 and it was scarey and I mean scarey.  I emailed "Sparky" today to see how she's doing, she's sore and my stove is working fine!

I saw where Target today said as many as 110 MILLION cards were compromised, I wonder how many, in the end, were compromised for Neiman Marcus?

Think parent companies of the credit card industries and how many credit cards are umbrella'd under various names but by the same issuer.
