Heard about the Lakeland storm and thought of you Donna.  Glad you and yours are well.  Everyone else too.

Images from the four tornado's that went through Polk County/Lakeland on 3-31-2011

My choice for Scariest image and second scariest image.

One neighborhood over from mine...I'm blessed, truly blessed. Our neighborhood looks bad, but not nearly as bad as this.

Suze, so scary for you to be driving in that weather. I'm glad you arrived home safely.
Jeri..Oh. My. Gawd!

Scary...you darn tootin!
I chose to pick Hannah up from school rather than have her drive home.
I'm a seasoned driver, however, she's not and with tree's downed all over the streets, live power lines, etc...it just made sense.

I was reading my Twitter line last night and found that the Sun n Fun (which is going on this week) that most of those in attendance pulled together last night to clean up so the gathering could continue today. 70 planes damaged but everyone worked together and the Sun n Fun continues on.

The weather is beautiful today...Blue Skies, great temperatures and low humdity and folks who are thankful that all is well today.

I just came from the post office where people who would normally only nod a greeting to one another were having conversations about how gorgeous it is out today and what a contrast to yesterday.

Hope it stays that way, Jeri.
Both the nod of greeting and talking plus the great weather.

My father in law is there for Fun N Sun and I prayed that he and you, Donna, were somewhere safe when the storm hit.   His flying partner's plane didn't do well, was a restored 'something or other', that lost alot of exterior stuff.

I knew after being on the phone the night before with my folks (in Gulf Shores) that this was no simple storm.  It had ripped through over there late at night, and they said the lightening alone was the worst they'd seen in 70+ years.  They don't scare easily, either.

I'm so sorry, Jeri, about the car - that BITES.

Donna, you have an angel watching you - I'm so glad.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone, the pics that have been on the news from all the areas are just unbelievable. I drove past the neighbor hood which is less than a mile from me that took the brunt of the storm and the damage is unreal, you can see where the storm just ripped thru, trees and fences, a house lost its entire roof,  but the 28' boat that overturned in a yard really got me and I haven't seen it yet only on the news and aerial shot of a mobile home park that was really hit hard.

Jeri, how awful about the car.

Donna, saw a live new clip this morning from the Sun N Fun on 28 news and the weather looks beautiful for it today, and its great how people come together.

Suze, I am so glad you made it back safe, I could not imagine being on the road during this storm.

And yes Donna, I do need to stop by more often

Have a great Saturday everyone, the weather is gorgeous here today!
