Dear Seller,

As part of our ongoing efforts to protect our customers and enhance the customer experience, we are updating the requirements to offer products that qualify as pesticides or pesticide devices. Pesticides and pesticide devices include a broad set of products, and it can be hard to identify which products qualify and why. You are offering, or have previously offered, products that are affected.

To continue your current offers on affected products after June 7, 2019, you will need to complete a brief online training and pass the associated test. You will not be able to create new offers on any affected products until you receive approval. You are required to take the training and pass the test only once, even if you have offers on multiple products. This training will help you understand your obligations under EPA regulations as a seller of pesticides and pesticide devices.

To avoid interruption of your offers, you may either click this link to Seller Central to start the approval process using a sample ASIN: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/hz/approvalrequest/restrictions/approve?asin=B0002YP612, or request approval using any of your ASINs listed above.

1. Why am I receiving this message?
You are receiving this message because you are offering, or have previously offered, one or more pesticides or pesticide devices. EPA regulations define pesticides and pesticide devices to include a broad set of products, including many that you might not expect. For example, they can include:

• Ultraviolet lights;
• Air treatment units or filters;
• Water treatment units or filters;
• Sound generators;
Insect traps; or <---this is what I had years ago offered. YEARS. FIVE plus years ago.
• Products that make pesticidal claims, such as "disinfects" or "sanitizes".

2. What does this mean for me?
To create a new offer on any pesticide or pesticide device, or to avoid removal of your existing offers of these products after June 7, 2019, you must obtain approval by completing an online training and passing the associated test. You need to take the training and pass the test only once, even if you have offers on multiple products.

3. How do I seek approval to sell the affected products?
There are two ways to request approval. You can click on this link https://sellercentral.amazon.com/hz/approvalrequest/restrictions/approve?asin=B0002YP612  to start the approval process using a sample ASIN (you are under no obligation to list against this ASIN, but can use it to trigger an approval request).

Alternatively, you can use one of your affected products as follows:
• Login to Seller Central, click Inventory, and select Add a Product.
• Input one of your pesticide or pesticide device ASINs from the list provided above.
• In the search results, click the "Listing limitations apply" link next to the ASIN.
• Click the Request Approval button to start the approval process.

4. What does the approval process consist of?
You will be required to complete a brief online training and achieve a passing score of at least 80% on the associated test. Only U.S. sellers are permitted to request approval.

5. Can I still use FBA?
Effective June 7, 2019, only sellers approved to sell the affected products may send shipments of those products to fulfillment centers.

6. How will this affect my existing FBA inventory?
If you have remaining inventory of qualifying products in Amazon fulfillment centers, you can continue selling your remaining inventory until June 7, 2019. After June 7, you either need to (i) obtain approval to continue to sell the affected products or (ii) create a Removal Order for return or disposal of your remaining FBA inventory. I decided to change my eBay account to a lowest level store level.
It has the vacation mode that I want/need.
It's only $4.95 a month as I agreed to a year.

As I'm slowing my Amazon down only 210+ sku's down from over 5000.
Woo Hoo!

I used to really, REALLY enjoyed finding items that I know will sell on eBay.
Vintage, Collectibles, Hard To Find items, etc.

Having a ball scouring thrift stores for items.
I do have lots of experiencefrom years on eBay plus an account that currently has over 35,000 positive feedback.
Now to list them.

Cross between an Italian and Chinese.

Had my daughter look over the items as she buys quite a bit of her makeup, face care and beauty items online.
She tells me wayyyyyyy overpriced.
That charcoal balancing mask?
She buys it five for $5.00 with free shipping with a $20.00 order. (we normally combine an order so we receive free shipping)
For me? That moisturizer is overpriced.
I use a retinol based moisturizer that receives 4 outta 5 star reviews.
It's 3 times less than Amazon's price.

Meh.

You were using the partner'd shipping with eBay, correct?
They have a partnership with USPS as Amazon does.
Not sure if you've seen this posting on the forum but there's a http://ecommercesellersmotivators.com/index.php?topic=4255.0 to Link to Print Labels using Paypal (where you still receive a business rate discount for buying USPS postage).
I use this all the time when I've sold an item not from Amazon or eBay.
Works well.
Or you could use the sign in for USPS business account to buy postage BUT the site doesn't offer first class only priority. <-----hardly ever use

I had 2 orders from an eBay seller this past December.
Seller placed stamps on the envelopes to ship.
I don't know if the recipients received their item or not.
Nope.
Nada.
I'm not forgiving about that, I want my delivery confirmation/tracking.
Tried to explain to the buyer that it is a protection for them more so than the buyer.
If I wanted to (and I'm not. I believe in Karma) I could file against seller and would win because they do not have a delivery confirmation for the shipping of their product.

Lovin' eBay all over again.
Made $$$ during the Christmas season, Alot more than expected.
And considering opening a store on eBay instead of selling each individual item for a fee. (which is still lower than Amazon)

I continue to make money on Amazon on vacation if my items are in FBA.

I have continued to research this subject and coming up with alot of info that I just don't understand.

Always consider more than one venue and if leaner works and you're still making money.... then better in losing out by having bigger expectations.
12 years ago, you wouldn't have heard a peep from me about not having higher expectations, I was 100% positive in my future with Amazon sales...
Not so much anymore.
I've never seen changes coming about as quickly as they do with Amazon now.

Can anyone find more information on the "One Vendor" program that's being referenced? Consolidating Seller Central and Vendor Central sounds like it could potentially be a company-killing disaster for anyone that resells branded products, like etailz, bigfly, et cetera.

I'm curious to see what the broader community thinks about these changes; I know there are some individuals in here involved with fairly large companies that run on similar business models, and I want to know what they think of this sort of discussion. Thoughts, anyone?

Same wishes x1000 to everyone.
I had wonderful holiday sales.
Sent in just enough to meet my financial goals and then some.
I shut down on self-fulfill on Dec. 7th.
Amazon FBA worked smoothly. The only 2 burps in the system were immediately taken care of by a simple ticket to Seller Support.
WOW!

Our 40th anniversary was on the 9th and we agreed I would take the rest of the month off, celebrate all the memories we have and enjoy the holiday season.
It was well worth it...seriously it was.

I actually did so well that I didn't come back to sending in a shipment until the 7th.

Sorry not sorry I stayed away so long, just busy relaxing and getting ducks in a row to cut back this coming year.
Forum is up for grabs if anyone (that I trust) would like to have it handed to them and place ads on it to make some extra $$$.
We have thousands of views a day according to my statcounter.
