Since we have the shop and that's our living we bought a HUGE diesel generator that can run the shop AND keep the AC, etc. on the house as well....at my little shop we have a generator that will run the fans, lights, etc. and will keep me going on my end (we have two shops, my fiance and I). LOTS of water is on hand, and keep in mind that next Saturday is 20% off BigLots and not sure about yours but they have alot of easy prep, microwave and canned goods at mine, including canned meats, etc. so I'll be stocking the pantry on that stuff. Gas grill, check, everything else is electric.
I don't have a strong "gut" feeling that this one will be alot to worry about, but you never know, never hurts to be prepared. On a side note, gas cans with gas if you do have a generator....they do you no good if the gas stations have long lines and/or no electric. It means you can't pump gas so we'll probably fill 8 5 gallon cans, that should get us through until gas stations are back up and running and lines have dissipated abit. My first hurricanes in my life were in '04...moved here from Indiana and didn't even have the truck unpacked when the first one came through....didn't even have everything put away for Frances LOL Now THERE'S an experience....13 hours of watching wind and windows bow, more rain than I could handle and 4 little dogs that were sure the world was ending
