I don't do FB.
Period.
I do Reddit and only the categories I want to follow.
The Amazon FBA is interesting and often has links that I find useful.

Here's to hopes your biz will continue to grow as large as you want it to.

Geeeeze...
How many times a week can people post:
Slow sales in the past 2-3 days?
Slow sales for the past week?
Anybody else experiencing slow sales?
Slump in sales?

Amazon Is in the Running to Buy a Movie Theater Chain <---another smart move from a consumer's POV

Amazon.com Inc. is in the running to acquire Landmark Theatres, a move that would vault the e-commerce giant into the brick-and-mortar cinema industry, according to people familiar with the situation.

Landmark is known for it's indie films and is partially owned by Mark Cuban.
Cuban is also partial owner of Magnolia Pictures.

Amazon Is Planning Live TV Recorder, Challenging TiVo]Amazon Working on Tablo-Like Networked DVR (Report) <---would love to see this happen
ALL of my children have cut the chord and have no need for traditional cable tv.
I would cut ours in a heartbeat if we didn't already receive everything...EVERYTHING...for the cost of internet.
Plus, there's the write-off of the internet which is packaged with a cable tv package.

THIS:
Amazon.com Inc. is developing a new device that records live TV, working around cable providers and encroaching on TiVo Corp.’s market, according to a person familiar with the plans.

The device, dubbed "Frank" inside Amazon, is a new type of digital video recorder for the streaming era. It would include physical storage and connect to Amazon’s existing Fire TV boxes, the living room hub for the company’s online video efforts, according to the person. They asked not to be identified discussing unannounced product details. An Amazon spokeswoman declined to comment.

This is a big deal.

I've thought about this, too.
I would put money down on it that there will be auctions for pallets of inventory.
My thoughts?
Amazon will probably swoop in and buy the pallets.
The products are ready to go and pretty easy to move forward with putting them into their existing inventory.

OR
I don't know if you've ever looked into this:
Liquidations website which I used the keyword Amazon

We used to have a member or two of this forum that would buy from the site (not just from the keyword Amazon but other liquidations) and then individually upload the items back into Amazon or sell on eBay or their own sites.

When I first saw the paid promotion come up in my Reddit feeds, I assumed (and I'm probably correct) that these are former employees that can help you to be reinstated.

I have heard (I'm not on FB) there are Facebook groups of these types of persons that offer this service for a good chunk o' change.
They guarantee your account will be reinstated or money back guaranteed.
They know exactly the wording that needs to be used as they 'supposedly' worked in the departments of Amazon.
Mind you, I don't know if it's true, I've only seen postings on Reddit and other forums that the groups exist and who runs the groups.

Don't know about the insurance part of it and taxes info will be helpful for some.

Yep.
I don't know if it works better for larger sellers or if it's just one of those things Amazon institutes that just doesn't work out for me and my tadpole level of seller.

* Everything eBay / Re: Ebay Marketplace Update 2018
« on: August 18, 2018, 01:47:25 PM »
It was ok.
Nothing earth shattering.
Our members who used the marketplace were in charge of their own marketing, backlinks and more.
That was also when we had a blog for this forum.
Members would upload an item into our marketplace, then use their blog via this forum to market and backlink.
Ended up closing it down as members moved onto eCrater, back to eBay, Amazon or focused on their Shopify which was more seo friendly.

I hear ya.

Quoting:
It's the politicians and city council members who have the ability to say "no" to sports owners, and that's who Oliver should have directed his speech toward. Or rather, to the citizens who repeatedly say yes to voting such politicians into office.

Oliver closed his speech saying, "The next time a team comes around asking for a new stadium, I want you to make them pay." Rather than sticking it to sports teams, though, the public should instead make the politicians who enable them pay, with their jobs or by demanding constitutional amendments prohibiting such unscrupulous policies.

I see what you're saying.

Do you have forward thinking elected officials that would move forward?

I believe that it's possible because it happened in my town.
Repurpose and reuse.

Our downtown area in the 80's was in such bad shape.
The burbs were where people were moving and left downtown in the dust.
The homeless were hopping of the nearby train station in the winter.
Shops had closed.
Buildings boarded up.
Nobody went downtown.

Luckily, we had a vision 'reborn.'
And when I say we (tooting my own horn) I mean it.
I served on a board to open a children's museum downtown in an abandoned group of shops.
Two of the larger shopping buildings (JC Penney and Maas Bros)was purchased and repurposed into offices.
One houses Publix IT department and the other houses another business.
Shortly thereafter, Merrill Lynch repurposed one of the older buildings into their main office in Lakeland.
The children's museum I helped establish back in the mid 80's is now in the old repurposed Kress Store and is amazing!

There was the purchase of the oldest hotel in Lakeland by a big money family and was turned into a fine dining restaurant, The Terrace Hotel.
(my classically trained chef/son worked there)

Hipsters opened 'kewl' restaurants.
Every Saturday morning there's a market downtown.
The streets are closed off and it's so much fun.
Organic vegetables, owner made items, repurposed furniture, performances by varied groups, small food trucks, etc.

First Friday was started as a celebration to begin every month with open shops and restaurants.
https://visitcentralflorida.org/events/lakeland-first-friday
Second Thursdays are Food Truck Rallies.

Coffee Shops are plentiful.

Lake Morton in downtown Lakeland now has a botanical garden that brings in loads of photographers, weddings and more
It's a botanical garden featuring neoclassical architecture, fountains & a variety of plants.

The symphony has concerts in the downtown park.
Bring your blanket, chairs, wine and have a great time.
Munn Park is decorated during the holidays and it's been a fun tradition.

SNOWFEST for FL kids!
http://www.theledger.com/news/20161203/snowfest-2016-gives-lakeland-residents-white-christmas-for-day

The Federal Building was renovated into another restaurant.
All kept the integrity of the original buildings.
Downtown Lakeland FL

I'm really proud of what our city has done with it's properties not only in downtown but further out.
Like the use of the older abandoned mall turned into one of those mega churches.
I'm not a fan of mega churches but if it kept the old mall from being sitting unused and brings people into the area, then I'm all for it.

Alot has to do with having officials and business owners that are willing to apply for matching grants and to be forward thinking.
If you don't have those types of officials, then GOTV and elect ones that do.

Cities that are moving forward with the above idea's find that businesses are more apt to consider moving there, which brings in more jobs, which in turn brings in more people.
The circle.

I guess you can tell I like my hometown.
<smile>
Close to everything but far enough away.
