Collectibles? Consider bidStart.com
« on: April 28, 2011, 12:19:31 PM »
Howdy everyone. I wanted to let you know that bidStart is an option for collectibles buyers and sellers. If you don't know much of anything about bidStart you're not alone. However, we've been around since 2005, have over 4 million listings on the site and have a number of key features that make us a real option:

1. Do you already have an ebay store? We have a full ebay-approved ebay store sync. That means we can immediately copy over your entire inventory no matter how large or small and, if you desire, keep it in full sync. When an items sells on ebay it closed on bidStart and visa-versa. No concerns over selling duplicate one-of-a-kind items.

2. We offer more payment options including Google Checkout, Moneybookers, checks, money orders. It's like the way ebay used to be but better.

3. No listing fees.

4. Very low final value fees.

5. Category-specific features designed by collectors for collectors. For example, we're the only site on the Internet that allows coin dealers to tie their pricing to spot gold so that they don't need to update their listings daily as many have to do now. In Postcards there are over 8,500 categories and advanced attribute filtering designed just for the deltiology (postcard collecting) enthusiast. In militaria we allow sales of so-called "controversial" items and have features within that to allow you to accept any payment method you desire.

6. Old-style feedback system that's monitored by us. If there's a problem we will mediate it quickly. No more having buyers ding you for not receiving a poster in Sweden from Los Angeles after 3 days.

7. We're extremely responsive and accessible. You've got questions? We're here to answer them. This business of ours puts food on our family's tables, not jets in our personal hangers.

8. Tons of other unique features including an array of marketing tools for sellers to be able to fully maximize their traffic. We have many sellers on the site that have duplicated or exceeded their ebay sales and many others who have done the same and dropped ebay entirely.

The bottom line is that we're an established, dedicated and flexible option for anyone interested in collectibles. If you're tired of playing games with other marketplaces please come by and see what it's like to have a marketplace that understands your needs instead of just deciding what's best for them.

Thanks,

Do you have the capability for sellers to use Amazon Payments?

Not at this time. For what it's worth, that's the first request we've ever gotten for that.

We currently support PayPal, Google Checkout, Moneybookers, checks and money orders.
