Yes, that's right.
Customer Support refunded a customer from September 2017.
Amazon fulfilled purchase and shows no tracking info on page from Amazon.

I'm fighting this.
Ticks me off as this is just wrong.

As of this evening, I am seeing the message in bold across the top of my excess inventory page that states FREE REMOVAL.

Screenshots are equal to Covering my arse.

Persons posting that issues are still existing.
I'm seeing new tweaks to home Seller Central, nothing major.
I'm also able to work in my inventory, pull items for free removal and upload new items.

Hope that all are able to get work done.

More late yesterday removed.
I'm taking screen-shots of every removal with date/time of removal request.
Normally, there is a notice that there is free removal noted on the last page, this time nada.
Same ole message as has normally there referring to charges that pertain to removal.

Covered myself by screenshots.
Fingers Crossed.

270+ items removed yesterday.
Glad I was able to get the removal before Seller Central went down for hours and hours and hours.
And still down for some.

Seller Central down for anyone else? Or just me?

Noted this last night when I signed in before hitting the hay.
I have no idea how long it lasted, but my head hit the pillow hoping Seller Central would be up and running this AM.
Looks like Inventory was able to be accessed 5 hours ago.

Wondering what changes are coming?


Edited to add: Some sellers aren't able to sign into their Seller Central yet.
Some sellers are able to sign in (myself being one) and are seeing some changes as I predicted.
I haven't looked to see if there are any major changes...but will report back.

I received 3 of correction emails but not one of the original.

Don't forget that later this year the new LTS fees will be in effect when they are charged monthly. LTS fees for products in Amazon warehouse over one year will be charged 50 cents per unit per month.

I know, I know.
It's getting crazy.

My son and his wife had hoped to get back into Amazon this summer but after viewing the new fee's they both said... No Thank You!
And it was just 3 years ago they were selling and were quite successful.
Life came fast and a second child...they took a break.
And now, the same ole Amazon isn't the same ole Amazon.

Kinda Sorta...
There are ALOT of localities and states that are cash poor but federal funds rich.

I ALMOST did a removal last week.
Our accountant wanted to research the process of how Amazon calculates long term storage fees vs would it benefit me to keep them in the warehouse.

Benefit?

Pulling out inventory last year and resending it in before the holidays saved me money on storage fees.
But it almost caused us to pay higher $$ taxes.

I didn't spend as much on inventory during the holidays because I had this inventory I could just resend into the warehouse.

Once again...It almost caused us to pay higher $$ taxes.
Either I need to spend my normal amount on inventory to sell or leave the items in FBA and have it work out in the wash.

Sounds crazy?
Yep.

His busy season is almost over and we have a meeting soon.

My highlights from the article.
I do have to recommend that all ecommerce sellers read and keep up.

Several justices expressed concerns about imposing crushing burdens on small businesses that sell goods on the internet and about making them liable for back taxes.
Justice Sonia Sotomayor said the case before the court, South Dakota v. Wayfair, No. 17-494, raised “a host of questions” and “a whole new set of difficulties.”

South Dakota responded to Justice Kennedy’s invitation by enacting a law that required all merchants to collect a 4.5 percent sales tax if they had more than $100,000 in annual sales or more than 200 individual transactions in the state. State officials sued three large online retailers — Wayfair, Overstock.com and Newegg — for violating the law.

Some justices complained that they lacked fundamental information about how hard it is to collect the taxes and how much money is at stake. The two sides, Justice Stephen G. Breyer said, were of little help. Estimates of how much it would cost internet businesses to comply with the tax laws of what were said to be 12,000 state and local jurisdictions varied from $12 to $250,000.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said there could be a market solution, too. “If we did overrule Quill,” she said, “entrepreneurs would produce software that would meet the market need.”

Saw that on the forums.

I didn't receive the original.

Speculation (yammerings) on the Amazon Forums is that more than likely Amazon swooped in and purchased all the Toys R Us merchandise.
And I did see a familiary name pop out that might just be one of our members.

After much gnashing of teeth and confusion it seems it applies to 5 sub categories. here’s a reply from SS late in the day:-

"Greetings from Amazon.
From your correspondence, I understand that your concern is regarding the email received about approval for toy category.
Please note that this is just a generalized email that has been sent out to most of the sellers on the Amazon platform for category approval.
I would like to inform you that there is no action required on your part if you have not listed the products in the Toy category.

However, in future if you are listing products in the toy category, you would need to request approval using the below steps:
1.In Seller Central, click the Inventory menu, and then select Add a Product.
2.Search for the ASIN you want to sell.
3.In the search results, click the Listing limitations apply link next to the ASIN.
4.Click the Request Approval button to start the application process

Toy safety gating team had multiple overlaps in their processes for approving sellers that sell products that sell toys, therefore they have launched one approval process which will encompass all of the ASINs being captured by the below multiple gating categories into one category.

The below gating categories have now been combined into one, meaning all sellers that apply for approval for the below categories will now apply to one Toy gating category.

• Toy Building Blocks
• Learning Toys
• Infant Toys
• RC Vehicles
• Outdoor Toys


If you have received approval previously for the above mentioned categories, you need to to apply for approval again, and your product listings will not be affected in any way."

Hello from Fulfillment by Amazon,

On March 1, 2018, we announced changes to our monthly and long-term storage fees. This included a new storage limit policy, which states starting July 1, 2018, sellers with an Inventory Performance Index (IPI) below 350 may be subject to quarterly storage limits. Removing excess and aged inventory may help you reduce storage costs and improve your IPI.

Therefore, starting today, April 18, 2018, for a limited time, FBA will waive your removal fees for any removal order that you submit for inventory that you have in our US fulfillment centers.
 
To take action, in Seller Central, go to Manage Excess Inventory (Pro sellers) or FBA Inventory Age (Individual sellers). Then choose Create removal order from the menu next to any FBA item in your inventory.
 
If you remove inventory during this promotion, you will not be able to send us more units of the ASINs you remove until either:

    August 1, 2018, when these restrictions will be lifted


OR

    When your inventory level for the removed ASINs falls below our projection of your sales for the next eight weeks based on your average sales rate for the removed ASINs during the preceding 90 days

Note that removals during peak and promotional periods can take longer to process than the standard 10 to 14 days. Learn more about free removals.

If you have inventory for an ASIN that is slow-moving or has not been selling, take advantage of this opportunity to remove it for free and avoid paying additional storage fees for it. This promotion will run for a limited time, and after it ends, standard removal-order fees will apply.
