USPS - Delivered, but to where?
« on: October 22, 2015, 12:24:58 PM »
We've all been there, either as a buyer or a seller, or both.  USPS says item was delivered, but it's nowhere to be found at the delivery address.  While I was in MN, I found out, from a very helpful Postmaster, that the delivery scans have GPS coordinates attached.  You have to have the Postmaster look it up on their system, but they can see exactly where it was scanned.  So, if the carrier did things the way they're supposed to be done (scanning at actual point of delivery instead of scanning while still at the post office) you can find out where that parcel disappeared to.

Good info!
I have THE best Postmaster who has worked with me many times over the years to track packages that I sent.
The ability that they have to check the location of the scan...thumbs up!
