Google allows Gmail to send email to any Google+ contact
« on: January 12, 2014, 02:02:18 PM »
How to Opt Out with Graphic:
Summary: Over the coming days, users of Gmail will, by default, gain the ability to email Google+ contacts without knowing their email address.

The new feature will be turned on automatically and aims to help people who already know each other, but do not have each other’s email address. When users type in an email recipient, Gmail will also suggest Google+ contacts as recipients.

Google+?

Who, besides hermits and misanthropes, uses Google+?

It's not just Google+...I don't use any chats...anywhere.
If I want to see pretty much anything that's been on the internet, I turn to Reddit and subreddit.

Google + is strictly for backlinks...at least that's my thoughts.
When I'm on Reddit, the discussions are large re: the Google + discussions and the links are always back to: Youtube.
Which is owned by who?
Google.
Click, Click, Click, Click and do that bunches more times.
Google.

Go invisible on your Google mail account(s).
I'd jump right out of my skin if someone ping'd me while I was reading my email.
Jeebus!

I will be honest and tell you all that we as an extended family across many states set up a Google+ account for communicating solely with one another.
<rolling eyes>
Not what we wanted in the end.
We wanted someplace to share family pics as we are all SO over FB.
Instagram ended up being an easy solution to that.
We wanted a place where we could set up group chats...but in the end...
We all have Facetime with the exception of 2.
We just Facetime when we want to see and talk or Skype for those with androids/Windows phones.
